Blood Track Coming Sooon; Heart Track in Work

I’m happy to report Blood Track went out to Beta readers two days ago. Pleased with how this story turned out, I look forward to this novel’s release within the next month. Yes, I said novel!

Excited as I am about Blood Track‘s release, a writer only feels as on track as his latest and newest story. For the Tracking Jane series it appears that Jane will go on another adventure around where she grew up in Heart Track.

Blood Track and Heart Track, two Tracking Jane novels, by Eduardo Suastegui

After I finished Blood Track‘s first draft, I wasn’t quite sure where to take the series. I had an idea, but didn’t care for it.

As I worked through the final edits for Blood Track, something happened. As I delved into Jane’s transformation from someone overtaken with her own suffering, who gradually breaks through her anguish by looking out for others rather than remain self-absorbed, a story started forming in my head. It will take Jane back to her childhood home in Wyoming and will bring her face to face with her American Indian heritage. At first I didn’t know where the story would go, but after three days of work, I am already nearing one third of a full novel’s length. More than that, I find myself once more overtaken with a story laden with strong emotional content and social impact.
