Because I want you to read them

Why would an author give a book away? Why would he he do it permanently or over long periods of time? Won’t that devalue his brand and work? I must admit it does still strike me as a little crazy, this giveaway thing. But a part of me loves it. Maybe it’s because it helps me live the “more blessed to give than to receive” truth. Or perhaps, as Carmen DeSousa shared in her blog, because I want you to read what I write.

Other writers may have different motivations to put words on the page, but for me, connecting with my readers comes right behind my passion to keep writing. Having a story come together on the page and having readers take part in it comes as one linked, interconnected process to writing fulfillment. Yes, readers may like my free book and buy my other ones. But if I search in my core, my desire to have my work read trumps that by a heap.

So… (terrible way to start a sentence, I know) in that spirit, I’m pleased to let you know that my two first-in-series eBooks are now free from Kindle, Nook, iBooks, Kobo and Smashwords. If you can’t get it through one of those outlets, let me know, and I’ll make them available here! In fact, will someone remind me via a comment? I need to do that anyway. Without further verbiage, here they are:
